The International Academy of Comparative Law, with the auspices of the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT), the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Institute of Legal Research (Instituto de Investigaciones Jurídicas) of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and the Mexican Centre of Uniform Law is proud to introduce the thematic congress to be held in Mexico City from November 13 to 15, 2008.
The general theme of the Congress is:
“The Impact of Uniform Law on National Law.
Limits and Possibilities”.
The following issues will be undertaken:
- National Unification of Laws in Federal Systems
- Arbitration
- Criminal Procedure and Civil Rights
- The Convention on the International Sales of Goods and its Impact on National Contract Law
- Conflicts of Law Conventions and ther Reception in National Legal Systems
- The Protection of Cultural Objects
